COVID 19 Safe Shopping & New Procedures.

Last updated 16/8/2021*

Our Refund Policy reverts back to the original policy (prior to Covid 19) from Monday 16th August.  This can be viewed on our website on the dedicated Terms & Conditions Page.  Here is the extract that you will find on the T&C Page:

Return & Exchange Policy

We are happy to refund or exchange items in original packaging and with tags attached within 28 days, on production of a receipt.  This excludes items that have been reduced by 50% or more: these are non-returnable.  We are unable to offer a refund on hats, earrings, underwear and swimwear in the interest of hygiene.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Restrictions regarding social distancing and mask wearing are changing from Monday 19th July, meaning the 1 meter rule is being lifted and mask wearing is no longer required by law.

While it is good news to hear that ‘normal life’ is starting to resume please be aware that these changes don’t mean the risk of Covid has disappeared. We are committed to keeping our staff and customers as safe as possible which is why we aren’t changing what we are doing in store, and why we are asking you to continue wearing face-coverings in store (unless exempt for medical reasons).

To reassure those of you feeling nervous, the measures we will be maintaining are:

  • Providing hand sanitiser and trolley/basket sanitiser
  • Keeping our protective till screens
  • Asking our staff to continue wearing masks

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you, our customers, for the fantastic support since reopening in April. We feel very lucky to have such a loyal customer base supporting our independent, family-run business, especially during such a challenging time.

On Monday 14th June 2021 The Terrace Tearoom re-opens.  The tearoom will be open 7 days a week from 11am – 4pm.  Serving hot and cold drink to eat in or take away.  Afternoon Tea’s and Cream Tea’s too.

On Monday 12th April (ending Lockdown 3.0), in line with Government guidelines and Public Health England advice we will be re-opening the doors of Broadstone Mill Shopping Outlet once again.

Our opening hours will be 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday – Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sunday * (10.30am for browsing*)

As of 17th May 2021:

Cafe Moda is now serving hot & cold food and drink to eat in or takeaway and will have limited outdoor dining available too – 7 days a week – normal opening hours have resumed.  Track & Trace is in operation.  No bookings – first come first served seating.

For Cafe and Tearoom enquiries call 0161 442 5813.  Thank you for your continued support.

Please be aware that in line with the Government Guidelines it is mandatory to wear a mask or face covering in all shops in England from Friday 24th July 2020.  Please wear a mask or face covering when you enter the store – our staff will also be wearing masks or visors whilst working on the shop floor.

Our changing rooms will be re-opening from Monday 12th April – we are currently looking at how this will work to enable us to follow guidelines and keep everyone safe.  Our returns policy was amended in 2020 to enable it to be easier for returns, this can be viewed here:  https://broadstonemillshoppingoutlet.co.uk/terms-conditions/

We have worked hard to create a safe and pleasant shopping experience for our customers and working environment for our staff.  Some changes have been made and implemented inside the store, and some new working practices are in place to ensure we are adhering to the government’s social distancing guidelines.

All our staff have been fully trained on the new guidelines for Covid-19 Health and Safety and will be on hand to help make your shopping experience with us as pleasant and safe as possible. We have completed a Covid-19 Risk Assessment to ensure that we are compliant with the CFA and government guidelines.

It may be necessary for us to control the number of customers in store at any one time in order to maintain safe social distancing.  There may also be a limit on groups entering the store to a maximum of 2 people per household.  If you are shopping with children we ask that they stay with you and that they are supervised at all times.  A sanitising station will be available when you enter the store to wipe down your basket/trolley handles and for personal hand hygiene too.

Clear signage and floor markings have been put in place to further assist and remind customers about social distancing whilst shopping.  We feel so fortunate that we have a lovely spacious store, so it will be easy for you to shop at an appropriate distance from others as you shop.

There is also signage to ensure a clear queuing procedure and social distancing when you are waiting to pay.  We would prefer where possible if payment is made by card, but we will also be taking cash payments.  Protection screens have also been installed at the till points.

As you are aware and will understand these guidelines are essential in the current climate to keep us all safe and to minimise/limit the spread of the virus.  We thank you in advance for adhering to the social distancing and other guidelines that we are having to follow in store.

Please be safe, alert and kind to each other and our staff in these different times.
